How it all started...
On July 11, 1948 a small group of faithful believers met together with the intent of planting a new church just north of Palestine. On September 19, 1948 a group of thirty five men and women met and officially organized the Norwood Heights Baptist Church. They called Bro. Ross Hart as the first pastor.
Through the years every community has its ups and downs. Norwood Heights has faithfully served our community in the bad times and the good. Each year we seek new and innovative ways to continue reaching our community and the world.

Where we are headed...
Norwood Heights is committed to our continued commitment to the Lord. When we look back we see the faithfulness of the Lord, but we recognize we cannot spend all our time looking back, we must be committed to sharing the love of Christ moving forward.
“What holds for the future? None of us know now what lies ahead of us. We must spend much time in prayer to find God’s Will. Are you willing to do God’s will no matter the cost or the decision? There are many different alternatives we could go, but God has only one way and we must find that way. I believe this experience will draw us together. I believe this is the making of a church that will win more souls and do more for the glory of Christ.” Pastor Ken Hubbard - February 5, 1960
